BLOOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED
On October 16, 2024, St. Xavier’s Kindergarten organized a Plantation Drive under the event titled "Bloom Where You Are Planted." The event aimed to educate young students about the importance of nature and the environment, instilling in them a sense of responsibility towards nurturing plants.
The event commenced with the participation of all U.KG sections. Manager Rev. Fr. Andre Fernandes, Principal. Fr. Eulalio Fernandes, Coordinators Anju Bala and Prem Lata set an example by planting saplings in the kindergarten ground. Their involvement emphasized the significance of the event and inspired the students to take an active role.
Each child joyfully participated, bringing a small sapling from home, with bright smiles lighting up their faces. Photos were clicked as the students placed their saplings into the soil, capturing their excitement and enthusiasm for the environment. In addition to the sapling plantation, teachers prepared a creative Earth model using cloth, symbolizing the students’ efforts in protecting and caring for the planet.
Adding to the environmental awareness, students brought banners, posters, and placards with slogans about nature, demonstrating their understanding of the importance of conserving the environment. Beautiful flex displays further enhanced the awareness campaign, reinforcing the message of sustainability and the need to nurture our surroundings.
The event successfully provided students with a hands-on experience in planting while teaching them the value of protecting nature. The smiles on their faces reflected their joy in being a part of this meaningful activity.
The school looks forward to continuing such initiatives that promote environmental consciousness among the young minds of St. Xavier’s Kindergarten.
