Promotion
Promotion
Promotion from one standard to another is made at the end of the school tier on the basis of the child's performance in the unit tests, the term exams & the whole year's work. The aggregate of the whole year is taken into consideration for promotion as well as for grading.
It also depends upon:
Regularity in attendance
Regularity & quality of day-to-day participation in the class
Opinion of teachers teaching in the class
Written work & projects assigned by the subject teacher
To be eligible for promotion, the child must secure at least 40% of the average marks in each subject.
Negligence in any exam/test may debar a pupil from being promoted even if he/she manages to secure the minimum pass percentage.
In case a pupil is absent from any of the paper of an examination, he/she will not be re-examined under any circumstances. In such cases, promotion of the deserving pupils will be decided on the examinations they have already appeared for, and the whole year's performance.
Absence from one or more subjects involves a loss of mark, for these subjects & excludes the pupils from being reckoned in order of merit in the examination & from a Merit Certificate.
Promotions are decided by the teacher. Results are final & will not be reconsidered.
The answer-script of the final exam, will neither be shown to student nor to parents. However, in special cases, the principal may review the final exam answer-script on payment of Rs.100/-(rupees Hundred per subject) in his office with the help of his School teacher. Any such request for review has to be made through written application, accompanied by the deposit of the requisite fees, within 3 day's of the declaration of the result.Subsequently, no such please shall be entertained, the parent/child shall not be associated in the process of review & the decision of the Principal in this matter is final & binding on all the parties. The Principal is competent to adopt any procedure he deems fit.
